Our goal is to have students exit the program with the ability to handle casts of 50 feet or more effectively and apply fishing techniques when fishing from a boat. Day two, you’ll practice your skills on a guided fishing charter out of the famous Solomons Island, provided by the Orvis-Endorsed Outfitter Rock On Charter Fishing. Students will fish the Patuxent River or the main stem of the Chesapeake Bay. Target fish species, depending on the time of year and conditions, will include stripers, redfish, and trout. Two anglers per boat.
